New Movie: Slumdog Millionaire

Some of you may not know Danny Boyle, but you may have heard of some of the movies he's directed. They include "28 Days Later," "Trainspotting," and the "The Beach" with Leonardo DiCaprio. The most appealing thing to me about his movies is the rawness and very distinct style of imagery that sets him apart.

He's made a new movie that was just released and has been getting rave reviews. Even 90% on RottenTomatoes! The consensus there is that movie is "visually dazzling and thematically conscious, Slumdog Millionaire is a story both entertaining and powerful." Some Bollywood fans will even notice a couple of familiar faces in it too.

I want to see it, but it's been released in limited areas for now. The closest place to me is about an hour away in Bethesda (Washington DC basically), so I might have to trek down. If you're in the DC area, definetly go check it out at Landmark Bethesda Row Cinema. Otherwise, you can find out where it's playing in your area by going to MovieTickets.com.
